WB Norwegen, Art.Gr. Möre, H.K.B. Bud 17/976, 6x15,5cm.

West of Kristiansund, following the 664 towards Molde you'll come through the town Bud. In this small town is a nice battery located which is nowadays a museum (Ergan Coastal Fort) which is worth a visit.
The bunkers are located at the museum area and in the field surrounding the museum.

The construction started in April 1941 and lasted for about two years and resulted in the presence of six emplacements for a 15,5cm gun. The battery was of a strategic importance because it covered the sea entrances to Kristiansund, Molde and Alesund.
The fir-control bunker was a 636 who was connected to an underground system including a 621, some storage rooms and a 2cm Flak emplacement. A second underground system is nowadays used as an exhibition room; it contains an infirmary, a food storage room and a water basin. There are lots of supporting bunkers like Flak emplacements, mortar and MG positions, quarters and a  Vf observation bunker. The back entrance of the battery is covered by a nicely camouflaged  Vf casemate for a 4,7cm PAK.
When you entered the village, coming from Kristiansund over the 664, you've noticed radar on a hill on your left hand. This radar is original German FuMo 3 naval radar. It had a crew of their own, 29 men were stationed here to operate the radar.
